HerthaHelden is an Android app developed by Deutsche Bahn. Others apps created by Deutsche Bahn are: Der kleine ICE, DB Navigator, DB Zugradar, München Navigator.

HerthaHelden first became available on 28 Nov 2013. It is estimated that HerthaHelden has been downloaded between 5000 and 10000 times from the Play Store.

HerthaHelden 3.0 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
